Couldn’t help it! The Island is also home to the Moto GP every October, raced on Melbourne’s original F1 Grand Prix Circuit.You can’t drive an F1 but you could do a hot lap in a supercar on the main track or race a go cart on the adjoining ocean view exact replica circuit
Grab some fresh seafood – Schnapper, prawns, mussels straight off the boat – and enjoy picnic style on the beach as you watch the Pelicans sail in from the distance.
Soak up the island vibe as you sip local wine at one the regions excellent vineyards or explore the many options for dinner before settling into the nightly Penguin Parade.
There are some great accommodation options to settle into for a night – particularly in summer when the penguins arrive late – allowing you to explore the neighbouring Mornington peninsula at a leisurely pace as you meander your way back to Melbourne.
